Take 2 for visit to Potters Bar
After the scheduled January league fixture was postponed at short notice, Carshalton Athletic make their second trip to Potters Bar Town in a month on Tuesday 6th February (7.45pm kick off).
The Robins will still be smarting from a 2-1 loss to recent bogey side Cray Wanderers at the weekend that brought their six-game unbeaten run to a halt. Joe Bell’s first goal for the club came too late to then find a leveller after falling two goals behind.
Potters Bar on the other hand will be on a high after somehow managing to score two goals in added time to overcome Concord Rangers on Saturday. Former Robins youngster, Ore Bello came off the bench to claim the winner in a seven-goal thriller – the second straight game in which Tuesday’s hosts have scored four times coming on the back of a 4-2 away win at Cheshunt. Brandon Adams added two goals to his total in the Cheshunt game to lead Potters Bar scorers with 10 for the season.
The Scholars’ season has largely been one of recovery after losing their first six league games of the season, including a 5-0 thumping at Colston Avenue on the opening day. Since that dreadful start, they have clawed their way back to 14th in the table with 33 points from 25 games.
