Robins look to click at Hashtag
Carshalton Athletic make their first ever away trip to face Hashtag United on Saturday 10th February (3pm kick off), albeit in the somewhat familiar surroundings of the Len Salmon Stadium in Pitsea.
The Robins will be looking to reinvigorate a late season push for a playoff place after taking one point from the last six. That came from a 1-1 draw at Potters Bar Town in atrocious conditions in midweek thanks to a late penalty from Brad Williams and followed a disappointing home defeat to bogey side Cray Wanderers last weekend that ended a six game unbeaten run.
After a solid opening to their first season at Step 3, Hashtag are looking to bounce back from a disappointing spell of form since the turn of the year that has seen them take just four points from the last 27. Their sole win in that period did however come at promotion chasing Chatham Town on 30th January. And they claimed another notable scalp in the Essex Senior Cup in midweek with a 1-0 win over National League South Aveley, Luke May-Parrott scoring in added time to take his season total to nine.
When the two sides met at Colston Avenue back in September, it was an early Alfie Cue goal that capped a stellar centre forward performance and gave Hashtag the points.
